Vonitsa sunset as seen from..
We were going to stay on a camperstop 3kms outside Vonitsa, but it meant going down such a narrow minor road that we abandoned that idea and carried on driving towards the town itself, where we stumbled upon another spot, on the beach, where 4 other ‘vans were already parked up, in a beautiful spot. Needless to say, we made it 5!

After a meal we walked into town, about 500m, and found it bustling with locals who were sitting outside the cafes with coffees or aperos;
whether they stayed to eat in the almost empty restaurants we couldn’t say, because the Greeks tend to eat at around 10p.m. and we walked back well before then. Our time here stretched into 3 lazy, relaxing days, just walking into town for a bit of shopping each morning, then sitting outside reading, me taking dips in the sea to cool off.
