Back to Le Mont St. Michel

Major works at Le Mont St. Michel

After a visit to an osteopath for John we went back to Dinard next day to collect Sadie, as she just made an overnight trip.  We enjoyed Saturday evening over a meal with Philip and Dorothy, friends for several years, who live just outside the village.  We decided on Sunday to hit the road again and ended the day wild camping on the cliffs overlooking Cancale; we strolled down to the port and enjoyed a meal at La Maison Blanche.

Next stop was Le Mont St. Michel.  We have visited this spot many times now and returned to see what is happening and how it looks now that the work is underway to remove the causeway.  We found such a long queue stretching way back out of the village, caused by the single file road close to the mount, so we parked up and walked in.  We spent the night at St. Pair-sur-Mer, on the southern outskirts of Granville.
