We decided to spend the night at Rodez, an old citadel town with an impressive redstone cathedral, where we found the camperstop easily, but it was no longer in use because a museum is being built on the land. We drove around looking for somewhere to park for long enough to take a look at the town, which proved impossible because of height barriers, so we stayed on an aire that we’d seen on the way in, it was in a lovely setting on the edge of a regional park, but it was about 3kms out of the town.
We drove through Rodez quite early this morning, hoping to bag one of the roadside spaces on our way through, but were out of luck again. We finished the day on the lorry park at Figeac, another old town, worth a visit to see the timber framed buildings.
